It was starting to get late now. Nazier and Karina were just coming back from the coffee shop and were now heading to his apartment. The sky was in a state of twilight as the sun hadn't completely set, nor had the moon completely risen. This tranquil time of day put Naz at a slight disadvantage. There wasn't enough noise like the hustle and bustle of the mornings to cause an echoic resonance for him to see things, nor was it as quiet as the dead of night, which amplified any little sound he heard.
He didn't need it at the moment through. He already had a mental map of this area and wandered through it as one would follow the mini map on an RPG game. That is when he remembered something. Something so crucial that he could hardly believe he'd forgotten it. There was no milk in his refrigerator. Now how was he supposed to eat his Lucky Charms? Was he to dig them out of the box like some starving child and eat them dry? No. He was far above that. But the store would be closing soon and he had never gone there before. He had no map of that part of the city just yet. It would take him far too long to get there. The store would close and he would be left with nothing but a box of dry cereal.
He was defeated.
Unless...
He suddenly stopped walking and turned to face the direction of his partner. "Karina, I need to ask a very important favor of you." With his flat, emotionless voice, one might assume this request was of the utmost importance. "I would be in your dept if you could do this for me." He then reached in to his pocket and pulled out a few bills before holding them out to her. "Could you run to the store and buy some milk, please? I need it for my Lucky Charms."
He stood there and awaited her request. Hopefully her legs would carry her to the store in time before the doors closed. His lucky charms depended on it.
