Name: Rhan-Qu
Age: Unknown, yet he appears to be in his teens.
Gender: Male
Personality: There was, perhaps, a time where those who view Rhan-Qu viewed him as possessing a personality; however, those days, along with those people, have died.
Fear, anger, sadness, joy, or happiness: these are all emotions not fit for the one known as Rhan-Qu. Such simple feelings and frail constitutions would only insult this blank, unattached being.
For those who see Rhan-Qu now do not know him for having emotion. He is, on a scale, viewed as inhuman when it comes to such things. Rarely ever does his view change as rarely does the situation arrive where such a change is necessary.
A person once called this man stoic, but even a term such as that is far too plain to be recognized by Rhan-Qu. To him, he simply 'is' and everything around him simply 'will be'. There are no deep-seeded feelings or emotions attached to these views.
There is; however, a sense of overwhelming pride given off by this man. Some would say that he believes he is better than everyone around him, although this is simply an opinion born from mediocre observation.
When you ask Rhan-Qu about something, he will judge you; assessing whether or not you are worthy of hearing his answer. Five hundred and twenty three years have taught him that it is better to just remain unseen and unheard.
Those who possess great names and stand out amongst their peers are always the first to be targeted. Knowing this, Rhan-Qu's back is always firmly pressed against the shadows. This is not out of fear of being targeted, but simply out of pity for those who would dare try such a thing.
To be honest, Rhan-Qu does see himself as a higher being, but this is just another example of what simply 'is' and 'will be'. He will always carry himself with an overwhelming since of pride and self-importance.
He does not enjoy his power, neither does he scorn it. He simply acknowledges this strength as it is and will be. Dependent on the situation, it can be extremely difficult to coerce him into revealing his power. He does not seek easily won victories, but he does seek one that will be a hard fought test of his true abilities.
The thought of one equaling or even surpassing him is what keeps this being motivated. This is what gives him purpose and reason to walk in this second life. Though his quest for a powerful rival has been a trying one; taking its toll on Rhan-Qu's personal being, his drive and focus keeps him on the path that will surely lead to his ultimate goal.
Appearance:
Of all the creatures born in the world, Rhan-Qu could easily be ranked among the most beautiful. His shimmering platinum hair flows down to his waist like an immaculate light trailing in the wind. Each platinum-blonde lock is filled with immense concentrations of energy, making them as strong as stone, yet lighter than air and softer than cotton.
The banged fringe; which is curved to perfection, hangs gently above his piercing eyes: the left being a normal human coal color, but the right eye; showing his true nature as a full Kinshin, glows with an overwhelming crimson coloring. One would think the luminous locks would obscure the vision of his left eye from time to time, but this is simply never the case. In the correct light, his ever-seeing right eye glows with the purest red coloring. Light tends to trail off this crimson crystal if he were to make a sudden movement, illuminating the darkness that would plague one’s heart.
The more time you spend admiring his face, the more you begin to realize that perhaps perfection is so much more than a simple idea. His gently curved cheeks start from a single centimeter beneath his slightly pointed ears and leads to his curved chin.
Rhan-Qu is five feet and nine inches tall. His perfectly crafted body weighs a hundred and fifty six pounds, although you would never be able to guess simply by looking. The way his muscular chest is built, you would guess that he weighed much more.
Rhan-Qu's arms are long and perfectly aligned; they are exact copies of themselves, just in opposite positions. The muscles along his luminous skin are graceful, yet powerful; complimenting his soft, delicate features. Further down his body, his waist curves inward ever so slightly to align with his hips, which carry his long legs.
Rhan-Qu never had a true interest in any specific type of clothing, and does not find a need to change his appearance based on the changing times. He is known to wear clothing that looks to be as old as himself, yet surprisingly in tact.
He generally does not wear clothes of the modern age, although he does hold ownership over some new fashionable items. A person, a human female actually, brave enough to approach him had stolen him away from the peaceful oasis that was his mind and introduced him to time's latest body wear.
Every motion Rhan-Qu takes is flawless, as if they were choreographed by the gods themselves. Each fluid movement is smooth, graceful, and carefully timed so they waste nothing. Every step, turn, look, and breath serves a deeper purpose. His platinum hair flows in the wind like a shimmering cloud that never gets in his way when blown in front of his eyes. His steps are light and soundless, as if he were walking on the air itself.
Whether dodging an attack or launching one himself, not a single action contains a flaw. Even when taking a hit, the way his body reacts makes it perfectly capable of minimizing the damage done by at least seventy-five percent on impact.
No matter what this angelic figure is doing, it is done with ease and grace: perfection in its purest and most basic form. It simply is and simply will be.
Strengths: Himself. He draws strength from no outward source. All of his talents and attributes are perfectly even.
Weaknesses: His overwhelming sense of pride can cause him to make irrational judgements. Also, the fact that he looks upon all his opponents as lesser than him he never shows his full power, which, in a critical moment, could cause him to take a harsh blow.
History: His life would seem like an extremely long time in the eyes of mortals; however, that was not the case for Rhan-Qu. The spiritual being that was himself barely noticed time at all as he wandered through the world.
When he wandered it always seemed aimless; like he was chasing after time itself, but this was far from the case. What Rhan-Qu pursued was power. He wanted to find strength. He wanted a challenge.
Rhan-Qu had watched many creatures and beings battle against one another, but not a single one seemed to match his standards. There were instances where those with god-like abilities did attempt to best the angelic wanderer; however, their assumptions were premature.
Whether they underestimated his abilities due to his size and stature, or simply did not have enough strength, all challengers met their defeat at the hands of Rhan-Qu. Fighting became a rare occurrence once he learned showing off his power only gained unwanted attention.
Simply destroying enemies as they swarmed him was nothing more than a waste of time and effort. It would seem that just when he was on the brink of finding an opponent that could show him the fight he so desperately sought, he would be pulled into a battle that would end in his opponent's pointless death and his target's escape.
Because of this, Rhan-Qu has reverted to simple observation, rarely raising his mighty hand in violence or confrontation. He has developed ways to ward off beings who attempt to arouse his might; non-violent ways that cause those around him no lasting harm.
They say a person's eyes are the windows to their soul. Rhan-Qu's eyes are a window to his chaotic wavelength. When a person releases their wavelength, the pressure is applied to everything in the area. Because usually everything around has a solid body, the worst that can happen is that body would be weighed down, but protected.
When Rhan-Qu decides to, he can project the rawest form of his chaotic wavelength though his crimson eye into his target’s eyes, weighing down their mind rather than their body. This technique; however passive it is meant to be, has the power to paralyze the brain to the point where basic functions such as breathing are not processed. If exposed to such a gaze for too long, death is certain.
Another technique, more used than his Kinshin Eye, is just a quick burst of his chaotic wavelength. This burst has enough force to repel any oncoming light attacks and push objects away; however, more powerful attacks stand the chance to rip through this wall of power.
This maneuver is a simple burst of power and nothing more. It has no destructive properties, although it has the tendency to snap frail objects, that's about it. The drawback to this is Rhan-Qu tends to stand out a lot more. His wavelength becomes sensible, allowing other beings in the vicinity to detect him. This is something he constantly tries to avoid.
To avoid all possible enemies and maintain a low profile while seeking out the most powerful fighters the world has ever spawned is a trying matter, and every few years, the Meister has to expel his frustration and emotion or risk exploding under the mental stress of such a feudal quest.
Recently, this Meister stumbled upon the DWMA where he noticed other Meisters and Human Weapons undergoing intense training. At first, it was just another accumulation of spirits, but after further speculation Rhan-Qu recognized the scene that was unfolding before his eyes.
These Meister were pushing themselves to their very limits to reach their full potential in a drastic hurry. The only time beings devoted such effort into growing in strength is to fight opposing forces stronger than themselves. Obviously these students had found an opponent that has proven to be a bit too much for them.
In order to further observe and research this hypothesis, Rhan-Qu began to train with these students and enrolled into the DWMA. Whilst training, he maintained a level amount of output and effort that mimicked his peers. Besides his unusual look and personality, nothing about Rhan-Qu truly stood out. He was just a simple Meister-in-training to them.
His ability to contain and render his power virtually invisible kept any of the more skilled students from noticing his otherworldly strength, and his articulately clumsy mistakes when being taught a new technique, or striking with a low level of force and form further helped mask his abilities.
Rhan-Qu graduated from the academy as an average Meister with no special traits or talents. He was just simply another in the sea of souls; just the way he had planned to be.
Rhan-Qu generally spent his time silently taking orders from his higher-ups without so much as offering an opinion or complaint. He simply did what was needed to remain invisible. When off duty, Rhan-Qu would find a place to relax and sort the day's collection of information.
He rarely slept as that sucked up much of his time, and he barely ate except when around others that expected him to. He was the perfect shadow, spiritually anyway. His looks tended to plague him with a lot of unwanted attention from time to time, both good and bad.
Once, after handling a thuggish student that viewed Rhan-Qu as a simple pretty-boy, a small level of his power was exposed, but not enough to get him found out. In recognition of how he was 'advancing' he was given special privileges to patrol and hunt for other full Kinshin.
He didn't really care for the new responsibility, nor did he care for the idea of combat, but it was simply another task he needed to perform in order to stay hidden. He would go patrols a lot even before he joined those who lived within the academy so he was familiar with his surroundings and the way things worked.
There were a number of corrupted souls who recognized the Kinshin, but very rarely did they approach him, for he did not present the aura of a demon or a being of higher power. He had, as always, adjusted himself to his surroundings, thus never giving off anything more than the typical level of power.
He's been attacked by several other while doing his patrols, but whenever he would engage them, he would fight a level just above his opponent. He would regularly allow himself to be struck, but this was only for show. Whenever he would end a fight, it would appear as nothing bolder than a stroke of luck. Perhaps he found an obvious opening he exploited, or him enemy let its guard down. Either way, he always won his battles without expelling more than the required amount of strength.
This went on for sometime until those who ran the academy began to question why this young looking boy never seemed to age. Before anymore suspicion could be raised, he left the academy for good. Now, with the information he has collected over the years and through his travels, he prepares himself to, at last, take on the one who cals himself “god” in this world. His target; the head master of the academy, and his goal; to ascend to the level of Demon God.
Rp Example: Rhan-Qu was resting beneath a tree. His back was pressed against the base while his right knee was arched upwards. The sunlight shining through the shadows of the leaves danced along his being like solar crystals as his eyes hung barely open, taking in the image of the puffy white clouds drifting along the sky like sailboats.
A random person notices him sitting in his secluded area looking very desolate, yet peaceful all the while. He has never seen this platinum-haired man before and decides to introduce himself. A lonely guy like Rhan-Qu must be desperate for friends.
“Hey there!” Says the young blue-haired man as he stands before the quiet one. “So what are you doing just sitting here by yourself?”
Rhan-Qu said nothing to the man. There was, perhaps, a barely noticeable movement of Rhan-Qu’s eyes as he quickly glanced at the man: A normal run-of-the-mill human was the label Rhan-Qu fixed to the man’s face in his mind. There would be nothing to gain from conversing with this man, so he simply shuts his eyes.
“Uhh… are you going to say anything?”
He was blocking Rhan-Qu’s view of the sky, but this type of thing happened frequently. He could state that fact, but the person would only take a small victory in getting the stoic Kinshin to speak. He could tell him to go away, but simply dismissing humans doesn’t always work to benefit anyone. He would simply ignore the man and two things would happen; either he will continue in his feudal effort to get Rhan-Qu to converse with him, which will eventually lead to him giving up and leaving, or he will take the hint and leave while he still has his pride and dignity.
“The name’s Krad. What about you?” Asks the young man as he sits next to the silent Rhan-Qu. So much for leaving with his dignity.
