General Rules
1) Be respectful to people you don't know and the staff of the site. Nobody needs anymore enemies.
2) Watch your language. I'm not saying swearing is banned, but try to keep it all PG13. I don't need a swear word every other sentence, just try and keep it low. Eventually, I'll work on creating a mature board, but for right now, restrain yourselves.
3) No power playing please. If you're going to lose, you're going to lose. You can't win every battle and sometimes you just have to accept defeat.
4) No god modding UNLESS you have the owner's permission. I'm mostly lenient when it comes to other rules, but this one is different.
5) Only make one character per account, please. Activity checks will be done monthly.
6) Have some fun with this. The Role-Play doesn't have to be serious 100% of the time. This is a Soul Eater RP: It's supposed to be insane. Throw some parties on the boards, have your characters trip up sometimes while fighting for their lives. We're all friends here, so let's act like it.
Profile Rules
These are just some simple rules that apply to your account here on Soul Reaver Academy.
1) Please modify your account name to your character's name. If your account name is I_Eat_waffles24/7 then you will be asked to modify it to fit your character's name.
2) Avatars should only be 100x100: the standard size for avatars. We're not strict about them having to match your character, though it'd be nice if it related to them in some way/shape or form.
3) Signatures should be at maximum around 500x500. Some people's computers just can't handle opening huge pictures. If you can't shrink your picture down to fit the requirements, link it or ask if someone can do it for you.
Ranking System
The ranking system this site follows is based on Stars that are given out based on performance and number of corrupted Soul Eggs harvested. For now, this will be the stand-in system to measure a person's strength level. The system is open to modification.
One Star:
A beginner Meister who is just getting the feel of their abilities and the world around them. They are either currently looking for a partner, or have already found one.
A beginner Weapon who either have their general abilities down pact, or are still getting the hang of them. They are either looking for a partner or have already found one.
One-Star Missions for Beginners. This includes the standard training exercise, remedial jobs around Death City, and sometimes missions involving weaker Corrupt Souls. These missions generally accept a limited number of teams, mostly with three being the maximum number.
Two Star
A Meister/Weapon team that has accumulated twenty Kinshin eggs. While the Meister's Wavelength Abilities have strengthened, their Weapon has also grown stronger and is able to hold their Weapon form longer and easier. The team's Wavelength has also become more alike, making it easier for the Meister to wield the Weapon. During this Rank, teams usually begin to tap into their "Soul Resonance".
Two Star missions are more difficult and sometimes involve traveling to Earth. It isn't uncommon to find yourself dealing with a great number of Corrupted Souls or just one big Corrupt of great strength. These missions generally accept a limited number of teams, mostly with four being the maximum number.
Three Star
A Meister/Weapon team that has accumulated forty Kinshin eggs. Because of the growing compatibility between the partners, they have begun to tap into their Soul Resonance abilities easier than before and can do them more frequently. Three Star missions are very dangerous. They are mostly based in secluded areas on Earth where help is always far away, and deal in more powerful Corrupted Souls. These missions rarely accept more than one team. In the off chance that they do, however, it is mostly limited to two teams per mission. Since this is the middle rank, it is used to give the students a quick boost of experience along with survival skills. You won't always have a group watching over you.
Four Star
A Meister/Weapon team that as survived the extreme trials of rank three and have accumulated sixty Kinshin eggs. The team's Wavelengths are so familiar that the partners can almost hear what the other is thinking from long distances. While the Meister's Wavelength abilities are so advanced, they almost don't even need their Weapon; the Weapon has grown to mighty levels and is now able to channel the Meister's Wavelength abilities through itself.
Four Star missions are very special and random, but are almost always combat-oriented. These are special missions that are almost always life-or-death battles. Because of the level of difficulty, and the need to practice "Team Resonance", these types of missions generally allow up to five teams to participate.
Five Star
Only Shibusen's finest reach this level. Now, you are considered Death City's Elite force and take part in the most difficult of missions. Together, your team has accumulated eighty Kinshin eggs and are on the verge of becoming graduates of Shibusen. Nineteen more eggs await before the Weapon is able to obtain a Witch's egg and ascend to the level of Death Scythe.
Five Star missions are for the Elite. These missions usually involve the fate of the world. These are missions that will make or break the world itself and sometimes even the head master, Shinigami, is called in to participate on these missions along with other graduated Meisters and Weapons. These missions, because of their great importance, are open to an unlimited number of participants. This is the final mission rank.
By Rank Five, a Weapon is already on the verge of becoming a Death Scythe, and after that, the team successfully graduates from the academy, so there is no need for any other rank.
That's about it for ranks. If anyone has any ideas that might be used to modify this system, please feel free to post them here, and hopefully the Ranking System will be a success.
Currency
With every post, $1 Death Tokens will be added to your character's profile. Death Tokens can be used for various amounts of things such as paying for an apartment, buying special items/services, and even upgrading your character's abilities.
Death Tokens will be rewarded through mission quality and special events. Also, some missions may offer a chance to win extra BONUS Tokens depending on mission quality. Make the mission thread epic and you will be rewarded ^_^
Also, each completed non-mission thread will also be rewarded tokens as well. If a finished thread has a total of ten posts, everyone who participated will be rewarded ten tokens. If a thread has twenty, then they receive 20 tokens and so on.
Character Specific Rules
These rules pertain specifically to the characters and their applications. Make sure you read these carefully as there will be a secret word you will need to know in order to get your character accepted.
First and foremost, you may only have ONE character per account. If you want to make a new character, then you have to make a new account for them as well.
For abilities, your character is allowed a maximum of TWO starter abilities. All others must be purchased and a training thread is recommended after purchasing a new ability. There are exceptions to this rule, but they usually only apply to certain Witches and Event characters. If you have any questions about any of these rules, please feel free to PM me personally and I will do my best to accommodate you.
By the way, the secret word is Zephyros. Remember that, but keep reading the rest of the rules. This might not be the real secret word.
When posting with your character you should have at least a 3-5 sentence paragraph. We're virtually paying you to post, so don't waste our time and money with one-liners and other such things.
Posting and Missions
When posting in threads, liquid time is allowed here, meaning you can post as your character in up to three different threads at one time, but ONLY three. Also, if your character is participating in a mission, they cannot enter or start any new topics until that mission has been completed. So if you're already in a thread, you can join in on a mission, but you cannot start or join any new threads until that mission is done.
There are exceptions to this rule such as a team member hasn't responded for awhile and your character is frozen in a mission. If that happens, let a staff member know and we will try to accommodate you.
Also,
You cannot participate in missions if your rank is not high enough. If you are a 1-Star student, you cannot start a 2-Star missions or any missions above that level unless special privileges are granted. However, if you are a 4-Star student, then you will be able to start a 3-Star missions and below. So lower ranking students cannot bite off more than they can chew, but higher-ranking students can take on lower-level missions.
If you are extremely determined to participate in a mission ranked higher than your own, you may accompany a team who have already started the mission, but only if they agree and invite you.
So there you have it: The rules. By now you should know the secret password and will be able to successfully create a solid character. Thanks for lookin' and lovin'
